So after our travels in Europe, it is time to return to transport activities in the UK.
I am still posting blogs on a daily basis until the end of the current period of lockdown (December 2nd).
However due to the existing restrictions in the last few months, at least for a time my blogs will take on an historical appearance.
This is simply because of the lack of opportunity (during the current restrictions) to see what is new or different and with the cancellation of rallies and the closure of museums etc.
For years I knew them as ‘Powells of Hellaby’. Hellaby being part of the South Yorkshire town of Rotherham.
‘Powells’ were a well known independent bus operator until the company was bought by the ‘HCT Group’ in 2018.
‘HCT Group’ has its roots in ‘Hackney Community Transport’ based in North London.
