‘Scene’ in Manchester. ‘redEXPRESS’ meets ‘national express’ on Dennis Basford’s railsroadsrunways.blogspot.co.uk’

‘redEXPRESS X41’ is a bus service run by the ‘Blackburn Bus Company’ which is in turn part of the ‘Transdev’ group.

Originating in Accrington and serving Haslingden, Ramsbottom, Prestwich, Harpurhay and Collhyurst on its journey into Manchester.

I have been an admirer of the Portuguese built Caetano Levante coach body which over three versions has been produced exclusively for ‘national express’ contractors.

Parked at Shudehill Transport Interchange.

From its grubby appearance, no ‘national express’ (ne) branding and a 17 sticker in the windscreen.

It looks to me that it has been withdrawn from ‘ne’ work and its owner is seeking a living for it wherever it can be found.
