I had several times seen a yellow former ex ‘6s’ Scania/Wright at a distance but I had never been close enough to see any detail.
There must have been some sort of serious engineering problem for the depot to turn this bus out on a ‘9’s service for the length of time they did.
The ‘SORRY ABOUT MY APPEARANCE, I’M HELPING OUT’ under the windscreen sums it up really.
Withdrawn to make way for 14 plate Optare Versa’s, I thought they had gone for good.

So after seeing the first bus, I walked round to the bus station to find another of the same.
Now very much in the twilight of their careers, they have served the company well and it was a delight to see them having what might be their final fling.
