'Scene' in Chester on ‘Dennis Basford’s railsroadsrunways.blogspot.co.uk’

AS A THANK YOU TO ALL THE PEOPLE THAT READ AND SUPPORT MY BLOG, IT IS MY INTENTION THAT ON EVERY DAY BETWEEN CHRISTMAS EVE AND NEW YEARS DAY (ALL BEING WELL) I WILL BE PUBLISHING A BLOG DAILY.

THE THEME WILL BE ‘IN SUNSHINE’. SPECIALLY TO BRIGHTEN THESE DARK COLD DAYS

So then to Chester.

An interesting City from a transport point of view where there is usually something different to enjoy.

Not many buses have worked for both the ‘First’ group and ‘Stagecoach’.

This one was new to ‘First Potteries’ as its No. 69486 before moving to Chester.

It came to ‘Stagecoach’ when they purchased the ‘First Chester’ operation in 2012.

The livery is clever in that it uses 3 of ‘Stagecoach’s standard colours (white, blue and orange) to present a distinct variation on their (almost) standard livery.

Although I did not get chance to check the legal titling, I suspect that ‘ACL’ stands for

‘Aintree Coaches Ltd’.

Should anyone care to confirm or correct that comment, they will be rewarded with a ‘Thank You’ on my next blog !
