Allestree is an upmarket suburb of the City of Derby and its inhabitants have been treated to some new buses by ‘trentbarton’.
The Optare Solo SR’s that the new Alexander Dennis Ltd. (ADL) E20D’s with ‘ADL’ Enviro 200MMC bodywork are replacing are themselves only five years old but the extra capacity will be useful.
They were launched to the public in Derby Market Place on Sunday 15th. October 2017 prior to going into service on Monday 16th.
Also invited to the occasion was a selection of preserved buses from ‘Trent’, ‘Midland General’ and ‘Barton’ Fleets.
