'Scene' in Birmingham again 1 on Dennis Basford’s railsroadsrunways.blogspot.co.uk’

Regular readers/viewers of the blog may remember a series of blogs earlier this year that featured the buses of Birmingham.

Friend Peter Rose was so taken with the ‘Scene’ in that great city, that he went back for more.

This batch of images came out of that visit and are posted here with his consent and my thanks.

Most buses are named using people’s forenames which reflect the ethnic diversity of the area.

The choice of names are suggestions put forward by employees of ‘national express West Midlands’ together with some from the general public.

I think that is a nice touch because people of all ages will be happy to ride on ‘their’ bus.

A recent day out took friend Peter Rose and myself into pastures new when the transport delights of ‘Sandtoft Trolleybus Museum’ were explored

 

As we have done before, we have combined all the images we gathered on the day.

One of the elements of going to somewhere like a museum where you have an idea what you are going to see is that it is always interesting to see what else just turns up.
