Pertisau is a village that sits high above the valley of the river Inn alongside the picturesque Achensee.
It is linked to Jenbach in the Inn valley by the Achensee Bahn. A steam rack and pinion ‘Heritage’ railway. (See blogs ‘Scene’ on the Achensee Bahn, Austria) posted 20/11/2020 and 21/11/2020).
The ‘Achensee’ being being a lake which is the largest in the Tirol.
Rattenberg is a small town that sits at the side of the River Inn further to the East.
Both attract tourists and the coaches that bring them.
