A number of my most recent Derby based blogs have focused exclusively on the buses of ‘Trent Motor Traction Ltd’.
However, there are other operators who work on the streets of Derby, one of which is ‘ARRIVA Midlands’.
The company has its roots in what I knew as ‘Derby Corporation Transport’ which has travelled its own complicated route to become the company it is today.
In early 2018 ‘ARRIVA Midlands’ took both single deck and double deck demonstrators of Wright buses ‘micro hybrid technology’ into temporary service to evaluate it.
The claims for the new technology were that it provided better fuel consumption with lower Carbon Dioxide emissions.
