‘Scene’ at Coach & Bus UK19 Part 5 on Dennis Basford’s railsroadsrunways.blogspot.co.uk’

The first of the bus builders I had never heard of.

‘Ilesbus’ is a company building buses in Turkey and importing through a facility In Bridgend, South Wales.

A very neat little coach on the Mercedes-Benz Atego chassis.

Another entry in the ‘replacing the Mercedes-Benz 814D/Plaxton Cheetah class’.

No one (including Plaxton), have successfully entirely replaced the well loved earlier model.

This coach is better looking than some of the other competitors in the market so it might be in with a chance.

I understand that it can also be had on a MAN chassis.

A front mounted engine which separates the driver from the entrance.

More tomorrow.
