‘Scene’ in Warrington, Single Deckers 1 on Dennis Basford’s railsroadsrunways.blogspot.co.uk’

A few days spent visiting my nephew who lives in the town allowed me to spend some time looking at the bus scene.

Unusual in that the local services are provided by the local council and not as in many places by one of the big groups.

Because of that, the current fleet livery includes the branding ‘Warringtons own buses’.

The bus station, which is delightfully called ‘Golden Square,’ is very close to the railway station which can be seen above and behind the buses in many of the images.

The newest single deckers are a batch of 8 buses carrying the Cheshire Cat branding.

All of them are registered CHXX CAT with the numbers varying from bus to bus.

The numbers are 04, 06,12, 56, 57, 58, 59 and 62 and are normally the year of the buses registration.

This is the first time I have ever seen this done, anywhere, in any fleet.

All of them have swapped the red of the fleet livery for orange.
