Regular readers/viewers of the blog will probably remember the daily coverage I gave to EUROBUS EXPO 2022’ at the NEC in early November.
At the time, I prepared a variety of blogs but as I restricted myself to the number of blogs I wanted to post, not all all of them appeared.
This one I still consider to be of interest, so here it is.
At the end of EUROBUS EXPO 2019, I said in my closing blog;
“All being well, I will be back at the NEC next year”.
We all now know that due to the Covid 19 pandemic the years 2020 and 2021 would not see the annual Busfest at the NEC .
However, I am pleased to say that it is back with a bang this year.
Scania have been producing long-lived buses for many years.
My local operator ‘trentbarton’ is still running 2004 registered L94UBs, whilst similar buses are snapped up by other operators for further service.
So, there is no reason to suppose that Scania’s new Fencer F1 model will be any the less successful.
Being produced initially in single deck form.
Double deck, articulated and coach versions are planned for this Swedish/Chinese co-operative venture.
One detail that does seem to need sorting out is the designation, F1 or f1.
Both are in use and it would seem a bit confusing.
Personally, I thought the body styling a bit bland.
