‘Scene’ Mainly at Clapham Junction by Peter Rose on Dennis Basford’s railsroadsrunways.blogspot.co.uk’

A break taken in London by Peter saw a selection of buses, of which, more anon.

 

Whilst an outing by rail produced this crop.

To a ‘Midlander’ like me, the sight of trains with 8 or 12 coaches in their make up, when I am used to two or sometimes 4 coaches, seems wildly generous.

Working 2F32 the 12-04 from Woking to Waterloo.

 

Peter points out an interesting detail,

 

“The 455/7 was built as 3-car but extended to 4-car by adding a redundant trailer from a 508. 

 

The different carriage profile can be seen on the third vehicle”.
