At the end of EUROBUS EXPO 2019, I said in my closing blog;
“All being well, I will be back at the NEC next year”.
We all now know that due to the Covid 19 pandemic the years 2020 and 2021 would not see the annual Busfest at the NEC .
However, I am pleased to say that it is back with a bang this year.
This, then, is the eighth of a series of blogs where I pick out what caught my eye at 2022’s show.
‘MELLOR’ the Rochdale, Lancashire based coachbuilder are probably best known for their range of minibuses, many of which are in service with what I regard as ‘Big Bus’ operators.
They have now moved into the ‘Big Bus’ league themselves by introducing a comprehensive range of buses under the name SIGMA.
There are six all electric variants in the range starting with the SIGMA 7, seating up to 16 passengers, up to the full size SIGMA 12, seating up to 44 passengers.
Obviously standing passengers increase these numbers considerably.
Others in the range are SIGMA’S 8, 9, 11 and 12.
