At the end of EUROBUS EXPO 2019, I said in my closing blog;
“All being well, I will be back at the NEC next year”.
We all now know that due to the Covid 19 pandemic the years 2020 and 2021 would not see the annual Busfest at the NEC .
However, I am pleased to say that it is back with a bang this year.
This, then, is the fifth of a series of blogs where I pick out what caught my eye at 2022’s show.
Higer Bus Company Ltd. have previously been known in the UK for building coaches on Scania underframes.
Now, the Chinese based manufacturer has entered the ranks of complete bus suppliers for the UK and Irish markets, where they are represented by HARRIS BUS & COACH.
The Higer STEED (Sustainable Transport Electric Energy Delivered) is being produced in 8.5 and 9.0 metre lengths and is built with a narrower body than usual for a bus to allow it easier access in town and city centres.
