Regular readers/viewers of the blog will know of the wide range of places we visit to bring you the content we do.
This blog is unusual in that it concerns Ripley, Derbyshire, where I live.
Ripley has appeared here before, but only very rarely.
For many years public transport has been provided by the likes of ‘trentbarton’, ‘Stagecoach’ and ‘Little’s Travel’.
As from Sunday 2nd. of October 2022 there is a ‘new kid on the block’.
Previously ‘Amber Valley Community Transport’ had provided social transport in the borough.
Re-named ‘Derbyshire Community Transport’ a few years ago, the company has formed a trading arm and has taken over 3 routes in the town.
A venture, which as a former employee of both organisations, I would like to see succeed.
