Friend Peter, a Mansfield lad by birth, has forwarded a selection of images which, with his consent, I am pleased to be able to share with you.

New to ‘Stagecoach Lincolnshire’.

 

Pictured passing the Old Maltings which date back to 1625 but is mainly 18th.&19th. century.

 

Located in Midworth Street and these days is a nightclub which is disused.

 

The church spire is that of St. Peter & St. Paul Parish Church.

‘Shacklocks’ being a widely known and respected part of the legal scene in the East Midlands.

 

This Grade II listed building, known as St. Peters House, was originally a residence built in the late seventeenth century. 

 

Later becoming the ‘Royal Insurance and Trustee Savings Bank’.

The origins of the church date back to the 12th. century with much additional work being done in later years.

 

The Church House came c.1775.
