The third blog of ten, posted over ten consecutive days.
More tomorrow.
The City of York is very much on the ‘Tourist Trail’ both nationally and internationally.
A dedicated coaches only coach park is located a couple of hundred yards behind the Minster which in my experience is alway busy.
It is there, and the provision of services there that I must begin.
I do not normally pass comment on such things but for such a high profile location, the toilet facilities were not up to standard.
Dirty and uncared for, on the day we were there, sums it up.
Disgrace is a word that springs to mind.
Some of the overseas visitors were appalled and I doubt will return.
I shall return, being a Yorkshireman, York is part of my heritage but I will not be ‘spending my pennies’ at that location in future.
