July 2023 marks the 10th anniversary of my posting railsroadsrunways.blogspot.co.uk on the internet.
I was encouraged to do so by my son Andrew who dealt with all the technical stuff.
I decided to give it a go and decided to produce 5 blogs to see how it went.
Now, with over 1,300 blogs posted describing over 9,000 images, I have decided to post one blog a day over the next 10 days starting today by way of marking the milestone.
I have enjoyed the experience and I hope to do more in the future but without you, the reader/viewer, I would be wasting my time and energy so THANK YOU all for your time and energy
Friend Peter Rose has again been walking the highways and byways of West Yorkshire and has forwarded these images which are full of West Yorkshire charm for me to share with you.
Of course they are posted with his permission and my thanks.

“Nah then driver, it sez on’t front that thar’t goin’ to Portsmouth. If thar’t goin to THE Portsmouth thar’d better put in for lodgin’ aht money”.
The Portsmouth in question is a village on the A646 in Calderdale, West Yorkshire.
At one time it was in Lancashire so maybe it was a borderline case??
