Something of a bonus blog.
Earlier this year, ’Lothian Buses’ took delivery of a substantial number of Volvo B5TL buses with Alexander Dennis Ltd. Enviro 400MMC bodies.
Numbered from 601 to 650.
The B5TL being the replacement for Volvo’s B9TL.
It is interesting to note that with the availability of alternative power sources i.e. Hydrogen, Gas, Electricity etc. that ‘Lothian’ is still buying diesel powered buses in some numbers.
A further batch numbered from 651 to 698 are being delivered at the moment and across the rest of this year.
As usual, friend Stuart Montgomery who is one of ’Lothian Buses’ volunteer photographers has been out to welcome them to Edinburgh and his images are reproduced here with his approval and my thanks.
