I have deliberately published this blog during the cold, miserable days of January hoping that the sunshine and colour of Madeira rubs off on us all !
For a small island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean Madeira is surprisingly well supplied with buses.
Apart from the world famous toboggan run there is also a hint of a long gone railway.
Most coastal resorts these days have open top buses and the Capital, Funchal is no different.
Interestingly, they use Volvo B7RLE chassis under some double deckers. A chassis we nearly always see under single deckers in the UK.
