It was a nice day, the wife was out for lunch, the garden was tidy so I thought,
"it's 3 months since you went to Chesterfield, so why not" ?
Here are a selection of what I saw.
First of all were the roadworks which are horrendous. How drivers even attempt to keep to a timetable with this sort of interference is beyond me. They have my utmost respect for even trying.
LX51 FJA
A Dennis Trident with Alexander ALX 400 bodywork formerly with 'Stagecoach in London'
My pick of the day was this 'Hulleys' decker which looked superb. It is hard to believe that this bus is 13 years old.
YX63 GYK
This 'G & J Holmes' Enviro 200 has gained some titles since I saw it last.
OIW 7027
This Plaxton bodied coach was devoid of identification other than its legal titling which was for 'Stephenson's of Lincoln'.
WX57 AWG
This Mercedes-Benz Sprinter based minibus was visiting from the Ilkeston area.
MX61 BCK
A Wright Streetlite D/F operating 'G & J Holmes' service to Buxton carries legal titling for 'Mistral Bus & Coach' from whom it is presumably leased,
YJ13 HTK
A VDL BOVA from local operator 'KM Travel' had just returned from Porthcawl.
C171 ECK
An ECW bodied Leyland Olympian that was new to Ribble waits for its next job.
P3 JBT
An Iveco Eurorider with Plaxton's Paragon body of 'Johnson Brothers Tours' shows of its gloriously colourful livery.
FJ10 OXN and W413 YAL
A Irizar bodied Scania and an Optare Solo respectively add a touch of 'trentbarton' (tb) to the scene.
The Scania unloading its passengers whilst the former 'tb' Solo now with associate company TM Travel starts to thread its way through the roadworks.
As I said at the start, these are only a selection the rest can be see here on my Flickr
