‘Scene’ in Birmingham Moor Street Railway Station on Dennis Basford’srailsroadsrunways.blogspot.co.uk’

A day out train and tram riding in the West Midlands took friend Peter Rose and myself into pastures new recently when the transport delights of Birmingham, Wolverhampton and West Bromwich were explored.

As we have done before, we have combined all the images we gathered on the day.

The credits being joint D.Basford/P.M.Rose.

I had never heard of ‘Moor Street Railway Station’ until I was stood outside it taking photographs of buses.

Curiosity called.

What I discovered was a little gem.

This last appeared in my blog in April 2021 when I saw and photographed it at Clay Cross junction in Derbyshire when it was working for ‘East Midland Railway’.

The very first time I visited Birmingham to see the buses was almost 60 years ago and most of the buses I saw were wearing either of these two liveries.

They were, though, newer buses than these ‘Birmingham Corporation Transport’ and ‘Midland Red’ classics.
