This is the last posting of this particular series.
I have enjoyed producing and posting the blogs and I hope that they have kept you entertained at least for a short while.
None of us will be sorry to see the end of 2020.

On the 12th. of May 2013. ‘First South Yorkshire’ (FSY) organised a bus event to mark 100 years since the introduction of the motor bus in Sheffield.
It was held at ‘FSYs Olive Grove garage which is adjacent to the ‘Midland Main Line’ about half a mile to the South of Sheffield’s railway station.
A stones throw from the garage is the site of what was Queens Road tram depot where many of Sheffields trams were built and housed.
What is now the bus parking area at Olive Grove for many years was home to ‘Sheffield United Tours’ fleet of luxury coaches which eventually passed to ‘National Travel East’.
A part of Sheffield then that is steeped in the city’s transport history.
In support of ‘FSY’ sterling efforts in putting on the show, a good selection of preserved buses attended.

Standing on the very site it would have occupied when it worked for SUT.
The wording below the drivers window reads “ Panorama 1” which is not quite correct.
The Panorama 1 did not have the heavy chrome work seen above the lettering. The waistline was a continuation forward and round the front of the waistline towards the rear of the coach.
Being a Sheffield resident at the time, I was lucky enough to see one of the ‘proper’ Panorama 1’s on the day it was delivered.
I had never seen anything like it. 36 feet of sheer elegance.
It was love at first sight!

New to ‘London Transport’ registered B100 WUV then passing to ‘Selkent’ and ‘Stagecoach Northwest’.
This bus has appeared on my blog before.Specifically on the 19th. of April 2019.
It formed part of one of my ‘all four corners’ blogs which has been one of my most successful blogs ever.
The four images have registered over 5,000, hits between them.
It was there on the day and I make no apologies for including it once more.
