‘Buses’ magazine for March 2020 carries the news that ‘Halton Transport’, with a history of over a century of service service has gone into liquidation.
A sad day indeed for this operator who’s roots were in ‘Widnes Corporation Transport’ which eventually widened its area of operation to include Runcorn and Liverpool.
I am an infrequent visitor to Liverpool and have never been to Halton but I was always impressed with the turnout of the fleet.
Mainly elderly buses but always immaculate.
I present this small selection as a tribute to the company.
You will be missed.
