A small but busy operation that is worth a visit on one of their opening days.

There was a time in the 1970’and 80’s when ‘NCT’s bodywork was built to their own specification. 

 

The results were highly individualistic and instantly recognisable as ‘The Nottingham’ style.

Being aware that the Bulwell,s ‘Brown’ route was about to get Scania/Alexander gas buses I paid a visit before the change.

 

The town of Bulwell lies to the North West of the City of Nottingham. With a history dating back over 1000 years it has, like Nottingham grown and become a suburb of the City.

 

Served by a mainline railway station and a tram stop on Nottingham’s tram network, it also boasts its own bus station which is linked to the City by a variety of routes.

Many of Nottingham’s routes have route branded vehicles. There is also a reserve of ‘spare’ buses usually in a silver base colour with multi coloured contrast stripes which can be used on any route where one of the branded vehicles is not available for service.

 

This is one working a ‘turquoise line’ service.
