‘CITYZAP’, part of the ‘Transdev’ group operate fast services between ‘LCBS’ and York and Manchester.
The York operation was covered in my blog dated 24th. January 2018.
The York service was successful enough to persuade ‘Transdev’ to run a similar service to Manchester which commenced operation on November 5th. 2017.
Unfortunately the service has not been a success and is to be withdrawn after Sunday 22nd. July 2018.
I tried the service a last week and it was a superb experience. The vehicles, the drivers, I couldn’t fault it.
However, I was one of only four passengers on a mid-day service.
A great shame to lose this excellent service, it deserved to do better.
