The annual pilgrimage to the NEC seems to come round quicker every year.
This years offerings were a bit disappointing because out of the major UK bus manufacturers neither Optare nor the Wright group attended.
However there was still plenty of interest.
I come to the end of my ‘Coach & Bus UK17’ coverage with a few other items that I found interesting.
‘Coach & Bus UK17’ Irizar i4h /1
on ‘Dennis Basford’s railsroadsrunways.blogspot.co.uk’
Irizar featured on my first blog of this series and here they are again with what is claimed to be the UK’s first Hybrid Coach.

‘Coach & Bus UK17’ ‘kingsferry’ Irizar i6s
on ‘Dennis Basford’s railsroadsrunways.blogspot.co.uk’
As Bernard Matthews used to say
“Bootiful, just bootiful”.
‘Coach & Bus UK17’ Van Hool TX16 Acron 13.2M
on ‘Dennis Basford’s railsroadsrunways.blogspot.co.uk’
A stunning image celebrating 70 years of Van Hool.
‘Coach & Bus UK17’ ‘Hemmings Holidays’ VDL Futura FHD2 MX11
on ‘Dennis Basford’s railsroadsrunways.blogspot.co.uk’
‘Coach & Bus UK17’ ‘arriva bus and coach’ Van Hool EX15H
on ‘Dennis Basford’s railsroadsrunways.blogspot.co.uk’
A stylish coach from a quality constructor. I do not know what the current production situation is but the only other time I have seen one of these was at last years show.
‘Coach & Bus UK17’ ‘arriva bus and coach’ Temsa Safari HD 12RHD
on ‘Dennis Basford’s railsroadsrunways.blogspot.co.uk’
It seems to have been around for some time but I have not seen many.
‘Coach & Bus UK17’ Alexander Dennis Ltd. (ADL) Enviro 200 demonstrator
on ‘Dennis Basford’s railsroadsrunways.blogspot.co.uk’
With the new ‘ADL’ E20D / ADL Enviro 200MMC well established and I would think the UK’s current best selling single decker I was surprised to see ‘ADL’ still pushing the old styling which presumably comes with a Euro 5 engine?
