For some years the X38 service which links the City of Derby and Burton on Trent has been run as a joint service by ‘Arriva Midlands’ and ‘trentbarton’ (tb).
Both operators have steadily upgraded the rolling stock over that time. The latest change being when ‘tb’ withdrew its Optare Tempo’s and replaced them with cascaded Volvo B7RLE’s with Wright bodies.
The liveries used by the two companies are similar but different.
I was fortunate to catch vehicles from both fleets for comparisons to be made.
