A trip this week to Manchester with my local U3A Transport group allowed me to photograph and ride on the Leigh-Manchester guided Busway.
Opened on April 3rd. 2016 at a cost of 68 million pounds.
I do not know enough about the politics or economics of the guided Busway to be able to comment being primarily interested in the hardware employed.
I am a little surprised however that no mention of the ‘Busway’ or its benefits appears on the exterior of the buses. Other than that, I thought the livery to be good.

On the buses I travelled on, after the front seats, they seemed to be the first seats to be occcupied.

A Manchester bound bus approaching the crossing of one of the side roads on the system.
Note the provision of car traps. Basically a pit in the road into which any cars will ‘subside’.
I was going to put fall, but it sounds a bit brutal !
